Been asked a billion times but...

Gents / Ladies,

Ive just picked up a lovely little 325CI Coupe on a 52 plate (2002) & ive been looking at upgarding the woeful stereo system that really lets the car down.

Ive literally searched on hundreds of site's for info on wiring & no one seems to have same system as me!

I have business head unit running bluetooth module & 6 disc changer in turn powering 4channels front & rear with two speakers rear deck at 4ohms (yes have checked these are original!).

Can anyone advise wiring diagram for this set up as nothing else seems to match? in particular the rear polarity at speakers not head unit?

Thanks in advance

Newbie

if you aren't an audiophile and don't want to do a ton of work I put these in my door and rear and couldn't be happier for the cost/effort put in.

Thanks guys, i emailed BSW but they couldnt help however after taking car apart on Saturday with a bit of luck & a test meter ive managed to solve issues & even get bluetooth working ( previous owner insisted this option wasnt fitted until i rang him from car!)

For anyone who needs to know:

Remote switching power from stereo is white cable on pin 16
Rear Deck speakers brown common ( Neg )
Blue right Positive
Yellow left Positive

Also dont use OEM battery clamp for earthing create new connection, this will help with background noise which will be created whenever adding an AC (speaker) cuircuit to a car.
(On 2002 Facelift 325CI Coupe None HK)
Thanks

G

Hmm, I have a business cd module too in my 2001 bmw. I've put one CD in it, does that mean I can put in 5 more?

Errrh, i wouldnt try it unless you have a changer in boot, although mines badged as BMW i think its an Alpine by looking at it. Good news is you can add / remove stuff. So if you havent got a changer you can add one. Check what plug you have on back of unit. If its the round pin variant its pretty straight forward.

Gareth, I replaced my 6.5 rear deck speakers with InfinitI Kappas. They sound good and work fine. Your best bet for a complete sound overhaul is to replace the head unit. If, like me, you want factory look, then replace all four big speakers and a couple of the small ones and run them off a better amp.

You only put one cd in the unit. The changer will be located in the trunk if you have one or want to put one in.

Aaaah a proper Audiophile then Vandyboy?

Yeah ive had the Kappa's before but only the 6x9s which where pretty cool & high end was very clear. Did you use aftermarket adaptors? & what size did you fit?

Ive seen several on market but most only give option on 13cm driver. Have fitted cabling in for amps etc & have run high level speaker cables from rear deck.

Anyone out there fitted subs in wheel / floor space between space saver wheel & floor panel? looks big enough for a couple of 8" without loosing tyre but would be a lot of work!

Been asked a billion times but...

Did you use adapters for the 6.5 speakers?
