......when you wash your car in 15 degree weather only to have the water freeze to it so you then put it in the sun and stand there waiting for the ice to melt so you can dry it off real quick before the water spots form.

Or maybe that's going too far

..when you still buying stuff in Usa (from site sponsors) rather than search similar items here in Europe..

or

looking in every dealer for a phoenix yellow SMG ///M3 cabrio, even if your best friend is trying to sell you his "brand new" C4s cabrio at a reasonable price..

You know your a fanatic when: you've actually considered the physical possibilities of making love to your car, and the "interesting" legal charges that would be sure to follow if you did it in public. "But officer, how can it be indecent exposure? My pecker was in the tailpipe. No one could SEE it at all!"

You know your an E46 fanatic when:
- your conversations involve an e46 90% of the time.
- spend nearly all your money (as a college student) on mods.
- have an obsession with taking pictures of your car.
- E46Fanatics.com is your homepage.
- your primary resource for gathering news is this website.

BTW I am also guilty of using PIITB in real life, and the forum smilies on aim

You get bitter or think it's funny when your friends ***** about high gas prices. You always think (or say in some cases), 'cry me a river, my baby needs premium.'

When a friend says that his car would beat your car in a race you respond with: "Maybe in a straight line, but I'll smoke you in the twisties."

Your friends can't believe you spent that much on that/those *insert mod here*.

You have an E46Fanatics.com sticker on something other than your car. (one of mine is on my nalgene)

You've come close to crashing while trying to identify the mods on an E46 that just went the other way on the highway.

You get a little upset when you see an E46 with amber corner lights.
These are classic!

How about....

.....parking your car outside on the weekend rather than in the shaded garage because you "don't want to take the experience of seeing it" away from anyone that might.

.....you've apologized for your vehicles ambers (before you had clears) to people who don't know or don't care about the difference

.....you've taken a slightly different route home from work because you think "people on that route have not seen you go by in a while"

.....you've purposely forgot things at a store for a reason to go back out, later.
