My DME was out of my hands maybe 2 weeks. That's including mailing (USPS) from CT to AZ and (FedEx) back. Thanks ESS. I can't wait to finish putting my car together and take her for a spin.

Great to hear of other swappers progress. I intend to email ESS regarding my ECU. I was wondering what they charged. Was it an extra cost on top of the performance software or was it included? I figure you got performance software since you're doing headers and I presume a CAI as well. Yes?

What are all of you doing for a MAF sensor?

I'm a little bummed about my project.I picked up my engine/ trans/ front drivetrain last week and find that contrary to all representations from the the seller and the "expert" who took initial US delivery that the transmission is not a six speed after all but a five speed. Then to add insult to injury someone ripped off the alternator and removed the AC compressor while it was in storage. Its not a big deal as I can use my present alternator and all I need are bolts for the AC but when the engine left Germany everything was in one piece and perfect. Also it turns out that some of the parts are dated 12/00 which is much earlier than I expected but this package is suppose to have only about 2,000 miles on it. At least this appears consistent, most everything is immaculate and looks as if it was snatched off the assembly line. For example none of the alloy is oxidized or even dirty and the brake pads and rotors measure out as almost new. It looks to have been reasonably well stored with just a little surface rust on the bright steel.

The foregoing notwithstanding I hope to start the xit swap in a week or two. I was thinking I might post some updates here as there seems to be a little gathering forming here, but I don't want to hijack the thread

Hi everybody.

I have a few questions about this. Some one can help me . Is it need to replace the intake manifold, injections, Throttle body as well? Because JoJo's new engine didn't have them.

JoJo how is your car?

Thank

Wait...what? 10k euro is around $13.5k USD. Why didn't you just sell your car and buy a nice 330i ZHP instead (and still prob have money for mods)??
