i didnt really notice this from the cellphone pix but all the ground effects are half hazardly put on- u can see the scoops on the front fender are just glued or tacked on.

im curious - is the exterior design being fabricated here in the US? or is it done in germany? and those pieces are merely a mock up for a test mule getting close to the final design?

Everything's just pasted together.
It's a test mule.
there are computers in the passanger area.
it's here for hot weather testing in the desert, as that is why they are usually in so cal.

Final design stages, yes.... Final body work ? NOOOOOOOOOO

It looked like they still had some camo on it and those weren't really the final body lines. You can see on the front that it's just tacked on to the bumper.

not camo, but the body work around the front and rear end are just THIN plastic that is cut and pasted into place.......

I'll look forward to seeing the final product and the Sedan version.

The back isn't that bad, it sorta reminds me of a smaller 8 series by the look of the tail lights

Steven

BTW BMWPOWER06 your car looks hot from your sig, love the CH's and the ACS lip and color. I was thinking about doing almost the exact same thing if I would of bought a used coupe instead of a new one

I know this is only the Test Mule, but c'mon you can see 95% of the car.

E46 M3 is still so much sexier than the E92 M3.

Let's compare:

E92 M3

E46 M3

E92 M3

E46 M3

E92 M3

Is it me or does that look like a Civic!?

E46 M3

I personally think the E46 model is the sexiest BMW model ever built.

compare a beat up Test mule to a modded production car ?
Give me a break.

Wait until it's out in production form.
And even then, it's all a matter of taste.

Personally, I'm waiting for the sedan anyway.
I know someone that has driven it and says it'll be worth the wait, so..........

It's mainly just you, and the other nincompoops who constantly compare everthing posted to something else. It actually looks much like the current M3.

Agreed! I would have thought that most people with even an ounce of intelligence would understand such a simple concept.
