650 verses M6

My salesman said the suspension on the stock 650 is better for the real world of street driving than the track set up M6. His reasoning is the variable adjustments in the sway bar set up. Apparently BMW has the suspension rigged so it automatically adjusts. This is not allowed in racing.

Anyone have experience driving BOTH cars for comparison?

Mmmm, I see you have the legendary 635 in your posession...good for you! Well, I imagine both cars are good for the street, though I'm sure the 650 is going to add a bit for comfort, as it's more of a GT cruiser than track anihilator as the M6 is. BUT, it all depends on your desires. Some LOVE the M3 as a daily driver, but others think it's too harsh. Some swear by their sport suspension or dropped setup, while others shy away thinking it's too harsh. I've never driven either 650 or M6....but I'd take the fastest of the 2, hehe!

650i is going to be smoother on normal road driving of course, thats a given. But the M6 will inevitably have less body roll and handle better than the 650

M6 can have a "tone down mode" for when you aren't driving aggressively and want to try to maybe save fuel. It drops the horsepower down to ~400. Pushing "POWER" on the steering wheel intiates a whole assortment of options and programs inside the car... one being the ability to use the V10's maximum potentional... returning the 507 horsepower that it usually has.

The 650, i cannot speak on. However, my brother has a 645ci and it has gobs of power, excessive torque, and looks as sexy as the rest of them. (Not to mention the 20" BMW wheels )

on the 650 you dont have to rev it to 8250rpms to hit exstacy (or however you spell it), what i mena, is, the 650 only revs to like 6700rpms, and most of the trque is available by 4000 rpms, giving it much "smoother ride" persay, while yoiull have to rev higher in the m6. Id still take the m6 cause i want an m6, 650i is an attemp, m6 is the realization of a dream
