The MSRP is 40,600, the invoice/wholesale price is less.

Not many people, but most people use the invoice price as the negotiation price and many people discuss pricing as a value over invoice ("I paid $XXXX over invoice").

wow. Is that for real, the 335i is going to be starting at only 40K? That seems a little cheap. But if it is going to start at 40K, then i want one

Doesn't seem too bad, especially considering the fact that the packages and options are cheaper in comparison to E46.

Why are they referencing 328i (2006MY)? isn't that 330?

they goofed. The 2006 equivalent of the 328 is the 325.

$40k is really high when u consider the e90s were only $36k. When u add up all the options, I think the total can easily go over $55k. My car was $44,500 MSRP and $39,500 invoice (sport, cold, prem)

True but BMW is trying to move the 335 upmarket to aline with the CLK, it is a lot more car then the E46 coupe was.

Its really a different car then the E90 sedan

No, if you look in the MY2006 column they have the E46 equivelent E92 328 -> E46 325, E92 335 -> E46 330.

Actually US models get leatherette standard. Click on the image in the first post which will take you to E90Fanatics where all the details are.
