double din install in so cal

Hey guys I recently got an eclipse AVN and wanted to try the install myself, because I'm broke . I should have all the peices by the end of next week. any body in socal do this install them self? if so and are willing to help let me know. I would love to take it up to the bay and have it done professionally but I can't and won't be able to for a while, the wife wants another car and some landscaping around the house has sent me into the abyss of my bank account.

thanks to all for responses.

new dash??

a double din screen will require you to cut your air ducts and reseal them to get the screen to fit in, also you will need a bezel, did you get one already? do a search and you'll find a great DIY on the whole thing for installing a double din for a e46.

I have the unit, I know how to do it, but I was just looking for someone who has the experience. First of all it is easier if you DO NOT have NAv. because the harness is easier access. also the the OBC is on the gauge cluster, and not on the nav so you do not lose those functions. Replacing the dash is ridiculous, also the cutting of the vent is not that big deal either. I know and have seen it , i have just never done it. i was looking for someone to assist me that has done it before. yes the bezel from, that is the one, but I was just loooking for someone to help that has done i before. Replacing the dash?
