ACS pedal install Question...
I've installed my ACS pedals yesterday nite
Man.. i installed the brake pedal first, and it was a pain in the ass but finally got them on  I did the gas pedal last and it was easy. As i cleaned everything up and admired my work, i notice the gas pedal was a bit crooked. Its not too bad, but its off like several mm upwards. i felt stupid!!! I was wondering if i should removed it and re-drilled the holes, would the bolts and nuts hold the pedal just as tight since the holes would be very close to each other?? Or should I just leave it.....i have pics, but they are on my home computer. |

Should be fine....because when you clamp
it down, the new nuts will still grab the plastic at the new point. You may want to use a very thin washer behind the nut to prevent it from pulling through the hole.
I messed mine up a bit too so I just carefully enlarged the hole in the direction I wanted the pedal to go. The screws hold fine as long as the nut doens't fall through the hole. If you need thin washers, go to a local R/C hobby shop since they specialize and small hardware for those types of cars. rick |

Thanks,
I'll just drill some holes to reshift it down a bit I was just afraid that the pedal will slide up and down a bit if it wont hold still properly |

I usually try to warn everyone to preposition them 1st with 2 sided tape.
Then to use a center punch to start the holes. I love my ACS pedals. With the Rockport shoes I wear the grip on the pedals is much more pronounced.
I think I'm going to replace my M dead pedal with the ACS to get the full effect.
