It's neither - simply a CCFL ring in a DEPO housing. The same AE ring from the DEPO headlight is used.

Regardless, the end result looks good.

I just twisted off and pre-ordered a set of aurora's. I cant believe I did it w/o looking on here first, but the e-mail about them and the website got me. Plus, I've been selling a bunch of old crap on ebay and have about $200 to blow on something. Still, I think I made the right decision. Surprised to NOT see those pictures from the website in this thread though, maybe there is a special thread for them, I'll search...

We have seen lots of Angel Eye kits on the market in the past 5 years. Everything from separate lightsources, CCFL tubes, failing inverters and LED kits with gaps and warranty issues with vendors. What happens when you can't find something for your BMW on the market that suits your needs?

You simply design them yourself.

Introducing aurora, an entirely redesigned angel eye kit for your BMW from eas - unlike anything else on the market. Coming June '08.

In a few hours, the final photo of the Orion V2 will be released.
Pricing for V2 is now set at $119 + $19.99 for the V2 upgrade.

Seems significantly less than $200 and you can even get it with a multi-point mounting system and the proven history of a company that has innovated all the angel eyes products for the last 5 years.

Thanks, but no thanks. I was once subscribed to a thread of yours in which you claimed a set of LED taillights for Face Lifted Sedans would be out "next week," next week turned into "next week," and so on until about a month, or two later. I gave up, unsubscribed and purchased a set of OEM R/C/R's as well as the rest of the matching set for the car 2nd hand from a ZHP owner trading up to a 335i. Thats been about a year and a half ago now, I haven't really looked back to see where that thread went, but I hope you can understand why I would be apprehensive about purchasing something from you that you don't have in stock yet...

Your post was on 5/16 at 12:02, I'm going to go search for this video just for $h+t$ and giggles to see if it actually got posted "in a couple of hours." Or if its been changed to "next week."

Good Day Sir...

Marcus,
This post (in this thread)
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showpos...&postcount=230

And this post (our release)
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...ighlight=Orion
Are 2 hours apart, though it doesn't matter really in the end whether it's 2 hours or 2 days, we just want to provide good quality products at value add prices.

Now onto your other comments about R/C/R
We were counting on DEPO to produce the product. They kept telling us that they had it designed and were finishing it up, but we've since learned not to use their time estimates until they actually ship us the product.

I know there is a Group Buy for R/C/R, I can assure you that unless it's properly engineered, it will not work for your car because DEPO doesn't make them yet. The only way they work is by completely rewiring them and re-engineering them, something we once again pioneered and offer today. We actually have a few in stock and have installed about 20ish of them installed on people's cars, one of which is shown here:

I have a 04 325I facelift sedan. I have the same headlights as in the picture of reply # 50 of this post. I noticed that the high beam light (inner) is much larger.
I have a set of Umnitza Predator Chromium Angel eyes that a buddy bought from JlevisW. But they didnt fit his car as he has the facelift coupe. Are these the correct angel eyes or do I need a different size. I noticed that in the picture of reply #50 that they sit inside of the light is this the only way to mount them to the light? can someone guide me in the right direction thanks!!

I have a 99 sedan and am in Australia. I don't have HID or Xenon, so that would mean I have projectors? I'm looking to get Angel Eyes. Whats the deal - do I just buy an angel eye kit or do I need to upgrade to HID or Xenon? I've tried searching but there is just SO much information so I'm kinda lost!

That is what I have now. Would I be better off just getting these? http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/BMW-...duct_info.html for ease of installation etc

They clip inside the existing housing.

Whats the benefit in spending the extra $250?

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3247/...6656434c_b.jpg

That is the exact look I'm after. Do you have that product? It looks like different headlights, indicators and the Angel Eyes. Cheers.
