Actually, the output with 4 projectors isnt necessarily better....very nice indeed, I rather upgrade the lowbeam projectors and call it a day.

Ok, so I have FK headlights with projector low beams and some very dull angel eyes -

What I want to know is, can these rings be swapped out for something brighter?
And if any of the sponsors want to PM me with info, I'd appreciate it.

You have DEPO like most folks, FK just put their name on them.

You can order the Predator Basic as an upgrade for $99 and get them to look a little better.

It looks like OEM which is what a lot of people try to achieve, I'd say keep it. I think you have non-CCFL angel eyes, which is basically wedge bulbs placed along various points on the ring hence the brighter spots along the ring. You could replace them with CCFL rings

Ok, thanks for the response. Do you have pics of these on an E46 (I only saw them on an E36 on your site), and could you give me an idea as to the ease of installation, etc? Are they my only option?

Thanks, but they are a little bit too dull, especially in daylight. Hopefully I can upgrade them without too much trouble

It's not hard, you will need to disassemble your headlight though. Basically you will have to pull out the wiring that has the wedge bulbs that lines the rings, put CCFL rings behind the plastic DDE covers. After that it's just like installing a DDE kit you will need a pair of inverters and a wiring harness.

Reading this thread has really sparked my curiosity and desire to get a kit. I have a 330i with original BMW xenons; but I have no idea about the kelvin temperature of the light from my bulbs. How can I find out?

Also, if I were to keep my original xenons and get the 6000K chromiums, what would that look like? Does anyone have pictures?

Finally, will I have to disable my daytime running lights? If so, how?

Thanks!

Thank you very much for the picture. The car looks pretty good with the chromium 6K + factory xenon set up.

I'm assuming that there is a way to disable the daytime running lights (DRL), or linking the chromiums to DRL circuit. Is this how people generally install the hardware?

Thanks again

You have to disable the DRL circuit at a dealership.

Yup like Umnitza said, you can go through the dealer to get the DRLs disabled. The Chromiums will run whenever the car is on so they will in effect act as a DRL.

Ok, so the Chromiums can be set up as the drls, but what I want to know is can you wire them to "activate" in the place of the standard amber corner lights when the parking light switch is enabled?
