a few minutes ago i was on my break and i spotted this distraught looking asian girl standing on geary st. by her black 325i with a flat tire. she was complaining to the AAA guy on her cell phone about how she's late for work and can't wait 30 minutes and all of that. so i stroll up and tell her i drive a similar car and that i can seriously change the thing in under 5 minutes. so i change it with the quickness, torque it good and tight, and told her to get a tire pressure gauge and to have a nice day. feels good to spread that e46fanatics love

heh - thats cool. i remember one time i was watching this tow truck driver and this younger dude trying to get his jeep started. the tow truck guy was like "this thing ain't going no where - gotta be towed to the shop." the kid looked totally distraught. as i walked by i said "give me the plyers." the tow truck driver was like "i don't have time for this - i'm towing you now." i looked at the kid and was like "tell him to give me the plyers." the kid did. i took the plyers and turned both batter terminal bolts once, threw the plyers back at the rip off tow truck driver and told the kid to start it up as i walked away . . . heh heh. whole thing took like 20 seconds. started right up. it was hella sweet.

I helped out a 5er up in Napa that was having overheating issues. He and his wife offered a bottle of wine for my 'troubles', but I declined. Definitely feels good.

One time after surfing I saw an E30 with 4 blond chicks stranded on the side of the road by the beach due to overheating issues. I pulled over and said "Girls having some trouble?" They replied "Yes. ooohh your car is soooo f*cking hot!" I poured some M3 coolant in their car and they were good to go. I got all of their numbers plus a kiss from the driver. We went out to dinner a week later. The fourth chick couldn't make it because she was having car trouble.
After dinner....the rest stays secret. True story though.

Hey Vale,
Sounds like a great story except you forget to tell everyone that the driver of the overheated E30 was your sister and three of her friends from high school! Just kidding man, I hope you were compensated justly for your act of chivarly. |

LOL! Sorry I'm not a redneck. I'm not down with the kissing my sister deal. Plus this happened when I was in highschool so her friends would have been my friends. And yes I was compensated. WAWAWEEWA!

Ahhh yes, a friend in need is a friend indeed. Good job, but you must remember there is a difference between a bimmer owner (most people) and a bimmer enthusiast (us). Soft of like a bastard distant cousin if you will.
I too also let fellow bimmer drivers over and such, kind of like a cult. hahaha |

This may be off the subject but I've been told that if you own a BMW, you're driving and see another BMW, you flash your lights at them. I was told they do this in Europe as a sign of fellowship to all other BMW owners/drivers. Since I've been in the US, I've had fellow BMW's flash me too. I added to it by waving tat them. I was just in Italy for two years and didnt see much of the flashing lights. I was too busy speeding on the Autostrada!!!!
