2001 Coupe + LED w/ Resistors?

Does this do the trick without needing a LCM swap?

Want to put on LEDs in the rear of the 330Ci, its a 2001 model but from what I've read it will need a new LCM + reflash. Please tell me the resistors do the trick because I can't see myself spending money on a ne wLCM + reflash just to get the LEDs working.

I just did LED's myself. I never heard of anyone using OEM parts and using the resistors. The resistors are used for aftermarket LED's. If your car is 9/01 (look on inside of door for date) or earlier you need a new LCM and reflash from dealer. If you go aftermarket, you can use a resistor pack and you don't need a new LCM or reflash. Just be aware the quality isn't OEM. Its close, but there is always drawbacks. Here is my post. Hope it helps and PM with any questions. I spent a long time doing my research. By the way, they are so worth it. Makes the car look newer looking and at night it looks cool.

I see no reason that the resistor setup wouldn't work with OEM LED's. The resistors just simulate a bulb and you wire them in parallel to the resistors so the LCM sees the full current. Obviously a new LCM with the right programming would be better, but it makes sense that you could just wire in resistors (find a good place to mount them, those suckers get hot).

So in conclusion, throwing in the resistors withthe LEDs should work like a charm, yes? Could anyone who has done this install with the resistors show me pics of the inside of the trunk w/ the setup? Ie. resistor placement, etc.
