04 330 Ci Demon Eyes Help Please

Hey guys,

I've installed more than a few Predator Chroniums and was a bit baffled on the setup for the facelifted version. My buddy just got this car as well as the Demon Eyes from Matt at Umnitza. So how do i go about installing this? I read on the site that the headlight unit has to be baked? WTH? Well, any ideas + suggestions to this install would be great! Thanks!

Pete

Bake 20 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees F to warm up the adhesive between the clear plastic, and the black plastic housing of theheadlights. You'll need to take both headlights out, unscrew all screws in the headlight housing and bake them one by one. Be careful cuz it'll be hot. Pull all tabs off in order to take off the clear plastic. You'll know what to do from there, same as all your other DIY's g'luck!

Check out our baking guide:

Umnitza should have given you an installation guide for the rest of the wiring and such.

i tried to call both john and matt on sat, 8/26 around 1ish, no answer, are u guys out enjoying the sun too much? hahaha......so anyways, i did bake and removed the housing, but wth? the rings are too big? question.....are all the rings standard size regardless of what year? my buddy has an o4 330ci and there is no place to clip on. if i use 3m double sided tape, am i suppose to snap the two clips off? i'll try to take pixs and post of the headlight. oh yea, its zenon also, and the zenon looks a lot smaller than the highbeam.....i've installed a few of these on the non facelifts already and was able to do it within an hour, this one's got me baffled!

I believe for M3's, you HAVE to use the clips...there aren't perfect fitments for M3's, so it won't look flush...if you work it a little though, it should look okay g'luck!

thank for your help, wanna come up to seattle to help out? hahaha....but really, did you have to break off the clips to install them on yours? if i bake the lights and take it apart, did u also remove the black covering? if so, did you 3M tape the halo's to the black covering? thanks for all your help!

my halos already had taping on the back for ease of installation...for you, I would suggest clipping if it already has a clip, or otherwise, somehow find 3M adhesive tape to tape the back of the halos onto the housing rings (they're like plastic chrome rings that're already around each light)...it's odd though, because for facelift coupe kits, they should be FULL CIRCLES...instead of the clipping ones that aren't full rings...if you see my sig, you'll see that the halos are nearly fully connected at the top, leaving only enough room for the two wires coming out of the ring...these are different from M3 fitments because M3 ones need clips, and therefore, that leaves about a 1 inch margin from a fully connected halo...try looking for some DIY's, there are plenty...I don't know of any other way to help, because it's hard to explain it in words <=[

EDIT!: after having re-read your previous posts, I think the part that you're stuck on is WHERE to secure the halos to...when you look at the lights, there should be a plastic chrome ring around the xenon projector...one halo goes AROUND that plastic chrome...and as for the high beam, you need to try and secure it flush with the chrome plastic ring...I'm not sure if that makes sense to you...try to take picture for me? I need to see what's wrong >_

Heat guns can actually overheat the headlights, blowdryers are much safer if you don't have access to a good oven.
