Painting the headlight bezel

Has anyone painted the gray headlight bezel to black. If so pics and what kind of paint and prep did you do? I'm thinking about doing mine when my chromiums arrive.

I did mine, flat black. Lightly sanded and used degreaser and soap and water to prep. Prime, sand lightly, top coat looks great. DDE look much better with the black imo.

i painted mine, as well.


flat black plastics paint from OSH. all we did was wipe them down before hand- it's hard to get dirty when they're tucked under the lenses.

the silver reflects too much light from the xenons, distorting the crisp lines around the field of light.


plus, i'm trying to rid my AW coupe of anything other than white and black on the exterior.

if your talking about the buckets and yours are titanium/aluminum ( not chrome/silver, I'll trade my black ones for yours. I was going to paints mine, this will prevent both of us from worring about running paint and and uneven painting.
