oem non xenon to oem xenon

is it possible to put m3 xenon headlights to my 325ci non xenon? what do i need to make it happen? will the computer recognize it?let me know peeps

Yes it is possible. Check the DIY forum and you will find all kinds of info. If your car is pre-facelift the M3 lights will go right in. You may need to change the lense covers though, and find a way to mount the corner lights.

Or I also wrote a DIY about taking the headlights apart and swapping them into your existing halogens.

Also the computer will need to be re-flashed to recognize them, or just remove a fuse (32 I think) and it gets rid of the error on the dash.

thanks for ur tips? has anyone else done this the more info the better...i installed one and it didnt light up does that mean i got to reflash the computer?

no dont' think so, the flash is just to get rid of the "light out" signals, if it doesn't light up you probably have other problems, ie: broken bulb, bad ballast etc..
check all your connections again

Yep it is a completely plug and play install. Whether you retrofit OEM xenons or aftermarket xenons you will have to get the ECU flashed to remove the bulb out warning.

You can remove Fuse 32 on pre-01 cars, however I recommend you get the ECU flashed for the most complete solution.

if i try to connect the oem tommorrow and they dont work would the h7 xtec 8k from bimmer blvd work for the headlights? ive gone to shops trying to connect the xtecs but the shops dont want to because they say i could only use oem and they dont want to put those in thats why i got the oem from my friends m3..

Unfortunately not. OEM xenons take D2S bulbs. If they don't work you will have to narrow it down to the ballast/igniters or bulb.

where do i get the computer reflashed?

Any dealer or independent shop that has a BMW MODiC/GT2 station.

i got my headlights to light on but thet are flashing does that mean to reflash the computer?

You may need a new Light Control Module (LCM) in addition to an ECU reflash. Try the reflash first then work on the LCM.

do u guys sell the light control module? how much is it usually?

We could probably get you one but the dealer is a better try. Check out realoem for part numbers and a rough estimate on price.

today i finally got my car out the shop the xenon conversion done but my fogs dont work or my regular headlights they start to blink like crazy only until i put the high beams the xenons stay on with the highs any suggestions

You just need to get our ECU reflashed to accept xenons.

i flashed my computer today and the xenons work perfect but my fogs dont turn on i have xtec hids there the dealer doesnt know why they dont turn on but if i made a seperate switch work for it would it work??

any help?

hmm, maybe you need a new LCM switch???
