Got ugly tint on my car - what should I do?

Guys at the shop told me to go with 35% tint all the way around, and strongly advised against 20% tint.

I think it looks just okay in the sun, but absolutely awful when its cloudy. Looks almost green.

Anyways, what should I do?

a) Strip it myself, go with no tint
b) Spend another $200 to get 20%
c) Leave it, it looks fine

You've given us no background. What do you want tint for?
I drive all over Phoenix in the summertime with 35% and it does a good job of helping the A/C get the job done.
You do all the work to get to 20% and get a ticket and you'll have to remove it all to show the court.

You're only legal with 50%

Do 20% just on the back window, it'll darken the whole thing up.

going darker depends on how strict your local law enforcement is about tint imo

+1

I have 5% in the rear and 50% in the front, the front looks so much darker then 50%.

100% -> 35% is $200

Would 35% -> 20% also cost $200?

100%->35% is 140 where i am. add $20 if you want illegal tint <35%. add $20 if you want a front visor. so the price here is between 140-180

The reason I don't want to go with 20% is because it will look like Im trying to hard to look "ghetto." Especially since the rest of the car isn't altered in any way.

Mine kind of looks the same, i think its the brand of tint that makes it look green, i have 20 in the rear and 35 and in the front. I got over the green tinge. I think if you want to change the tint darkness, they need to remove the current tint and re apply the new one, so it might cost more.

Then stick with what you have. If you go darker and your car isnt agressive looking then you will have that "im a drug dealer" look. Blacked out is overrated

This is exactly how I feel, thanks.

I'm debating between keeping it and stripping it off myself.

The coloring looks bleh. The tint itself looks fine but I prefer a black/brown rather than a black/blue or a black/green.

Retro to a convertible. Break all the windows and use jaws of life to cut b and c pillars
