Hey that's history we would love to hear about. When I was in Japan, I owned a few cars that very few people here would recognize so instead I gave their American name in parenthesis or at least an equivalent. Try that I would love to see your list and just do an internet search to see the actual car image.

1996 Saab 900s
1996 BMW 328ic (E36 convertible, a blast)
2002 Yamaha Raptor 660 (ATV)
1999 BMW 323I
Sorry folks I forgot to add a 1995 Mitsubishi Galant before the above expedition. Now since this post I have also purchased a 1995 Saab 900se (turbo) Convertible and recently a 1999 SAAB Viggen (a wicked car, look it up). So to date, I still own the Expedition, the three SAABS, the E46 BMW, the 2001 Suzuki GSXR 1000 sport bike and the 2002 Yamaha Raptor 660 atv. I think I got it bad huh? There's only 2 people in my house that have licenses. For the record, I am going to sell the 900s and the 900se convertible. Not enough Garage space.

Know most of those bikes well. I have one of the last Bontrager CrMo hardtail ORs that Keith B welded up in his garage before going "big time" . Still have it and ride almost everyday. Absolutely bombproof.

I used to ride a tandem Keith made for a buddy of mine... matching trailer as well!... and I have a custom Klein that Gary made for me that also hangs on my wall.
Had an old Yeti that was Cali made before thay moved to Colorado!
both Klein and Bontrager went pear-shaped after being bought by Trek!

Even test rode a Berilium frame when they were being protoed.
Growing up in the bay area I rode with the likes of Mount, Fischer, Ritchey, Cunningham, and too many others to mention.
Miss the open roads of the SF bay area for sure!
Oh, and the Mt trail as well!

E46marine: Those were the real names of the cars, few were ever imported into this country. I too drove many nippon go no cars that had different names than they have here, but these were Euro trash cars by and large.
I started driving in 1967 and had 5 cars to choose from at that time, and have rarely had fewer than 3 at any given moment... now I have 3 exactly.

Maybe you should list the cars you currently own.

No, I have had the the 1996 900s for two years. I bought a 1995 900se (turbo) convertible in September. Yesterday I bought a 1999 SAAB Viggen (only 400 sent to the US) so I am getting rid of my other two SAABS. Last night I finally yielded and gave the 1996 900s to my lil brother who has been begging for it since I bought it. I am going to sell the convertible and be left with just the Viggen as far as the SAABS go. I hope this clears up your confusion.

I was at Camp Foster. You were obviously at Kadena. If you were in to motorcycles you would have known me. I was the guy with the Fully Custom Yellow Yamaha R1. I sold it to a guy on Kadena who totalled it in less than a month.

Yeah it happens alot that people buy theses higly modified cars, mainly Skylines, and wreck them cause they can't handle the power and trying to race someone before knowing the full extend of the cars power and handling.

My first car was a '97 jeep cherokee which was a great first car to have fun on the road and off. I bought it for $2200, drove it for two years, put 40k miles on it, then sold it for $3800! My next was a '95 VW gti which I bought at a car auction for $2000, and sold it a month later for $3500! Then I bought a '97 Honda Civic 2door Ex which I had for all of two hours. Long story short, I had it checked out and then when I drove it home, it overheated and found out it had a blown headgasket! Luckily, I knew the person who I bought it from and luckily, he let me return it for my money back even though he had no obligation to. About a month without a car, driving my parents diesel F-250, I found my 2000 323ci which I might keep for a while or sell it to get a newer one with a manual. I love getting a new car, but it usually takes a few months to get the right deal and sometimes I get impatient, thats what happened with the civic, from which I learned a very good lesson.
