HID Retrofit using original wiring?
I just installed a HID kit that I baught off ebay, it seems like a very nice kit but it had to be modified a little to make everything fit. My only question is though, im using the factory wiring harness to go to the ballasts instead of the relay supplied with the kit, will I have any problems with that? My car isnt even giving me a headlight burnt warning, but I didnt wanna use the relay since it only connects to one side of the factory headlight wiring and im a little OCD about things being symmetrical heh. So will the original wiring be ok to go directly to the ballasts?

If your car is not giving you a headlight out warning and the kit works as designed then there is no need to install the relay.

Well now im getting a random flicker which I cant recreate, it happens when the engine is running, and now with the relay installed it doesnt flicker, so does that mean I need to get my car coded for HID's to stop the flickering? im guessing it has to do with the headlight bulb sensor.

^ yeah, common problem, some people get it often while starting up, others while driving. Easily taken care of by having the deal reflash the ECU. (have them turn off your DRL (daytime running lights) while they program so if u get DDE's they will already be off and u dont have to pay the $45 - $65 flash fee twice)

I might need to use a relay. THe one that I got only has one connection for the headlight plug. To prevent a headlight out lamp, should I wire up an additional harness that connects to both the left and right headlight plugs, uses the + to trip the relay and connect the grounds to ground?
