please help with d2s #66040 bulbs for 02///m

One of my lights blew on my car and its a 66040 xenarc 35w bulb. i went to a shop and they kept ordering bulbs for an 02 ///m and getting the 85122 (i think) serial number part that shines white. the bulb i still have in shines with a purple tint (i bought the car with those bulbs), and i was wondering if anyone knows if the 66040 are the ones that shine purple, so that i can replace it with another bulb i wanna buy online that matches serial numbers. the reason i am even wondering is that the headlight seems to be generic, in that one of my headlights is a bosch and the other is a generic brand. i dont know if that is causing the purple tint, or if it is the bulb itself, and i want to be sure before i buy a bulb and find out that it doesnt match. please help. thanks.

66040 are Osram Xenarc OEM, yours have just color shifted (happens to HID bulbs when they have been used for 2000+ hours). 85122 are OEM philips also good bulbs. Any New bulb you get Osram/Philips, wont match yours, it will be white. You need to get a 85122+/66040+ these bulbs come from the factory and are supposed to match colorshifted bulbs like the one you have.

Or you will have to replace both. Although they are whiter, new bulbs will give you back those lost lumens (brightness) that your colorshifted ones have acquired.
