Crazy accident

street racer arrested in crash that killed three

Quote:
The drivers of two vehicles were racing in the southbound lanes near Washington Boulevard shortly after midnight Friday, when one of them lost control of his vehicle and veered into a UPS big-rig, authorities said. The UPS truck slammed into the center divider, then flipped over into the northbound lanes and collided with several oncoming vehicles, causing an explosion

Very sad. The guy who caused the dam accident from what i read is OK.

RIP to all the victims. I for one am no angel on the street, but things like this certainly play a role when i drive now as i get older. i try to reserve it for late at night on two lane roads with nothing but trees around. stay safe guys.

I5 was completely closed in both directions for nearly 24 hours to clean up this mess.

Amazing that a car made the truck go flying to the opposite lane.

Well the challenger is a fat pile of lard for a car...

On a more serious note, the truck flying over the divider was probably not caused by its impact with the challenger, but rather a secondary collision.

The truck driver could have overreacted to the challenger slamming into him and lost control, or the truck driver tried do unsuccessfully dodge other objects around him after the crash with challenger and instead made it worse.

I always used to think center dividers on highways were made to prevent vehicles from crossing into the other side.....absolutely crazy. RIP.
