How to remove vents in dash?
Thanks to all those who gave me suggestions on getting my headunit installed. Now my problem is how do I remove the two vents in the front centre dash. The one right above the headunit?. I removed the four screws that holds the bracket which holds the headunit and the temp control. But I pulled on the vents and they won't budge. Do I have to pull REALLY hard? I'm afraid I'm going to break it. Is there a trick to this?
Also, what's the easier way to run 3 pairs of RCA cables to the trunk. I have an external amp in my trunk. Thanks! This is my first car audio install. edward |

there's two clips (one on each side). You have to loosen them to get it out. It's not easy but if you keep trying you'll get it out. Feel on the inside with your fingers, on each side to look for em.

got it out
Man, I had to pull really hard. I found out how to pull it out by using a small mirror and a flash light. I removed the bracket housing the headunit and the temp control unit. I used the mirror to see inside how the vent was attached. There are indeed two clips that need to be pushed up to make it somewhat easier to pull the vent out. I wish I had a digital camera to show you how it looks.
