baking headlights

Hi all ... I bought some umnitza halos from mod bargains and they came in yesterday

Anyways, I have a facelifted coupe so I'm gonna need to bake my headlights. I have a convection oven and not a regular one. I know that I am supposed to cook food at 75 degrees lower than called for in normal cooking directions and reduce time slightly... do you think this goes for my headlights as well??? Will it harm the headlights if they are cooked for too long or too hot, even if it is just slightly too much?

why would it adjust the temperature??? It will cook at whatever temp I set it, I know this because I bake in it all the time (it is actually a oven at my business). What I meant is that if cooking directions call for 375 degrees they are usually refering to a conventional oven and not convection. convection ovens are generaly set at 75 degrees lower (ie: 300) and do not require preheating.

anyone ever use a convection oven for baking their headlights??? i'm gonna give it a try in a few minutes

I heard that a hairdryer can get the work done as well, I don't know the details though, all I know is that you have to get the glue hot enough so you can get the headlight cover off.

make sure you put some butter and oil so you don't burn the headlights. jk.

P.S. Make sure something in the bottom to prevent the headlight from melting through the oven's grill
