Exclamation DIY: Recaro Office Chair

Readyy

Ok

Get your Seat..: JUNKYARD, TRASH, EBAY, FORUMS $18 - $150

Get your Office Chair..:TRASH, WALMART $17

Get [2] flat Metal Bars..: HOME DEPOT $12

Get Metal Drill Bits..: HOME DEPOT $6

Get your Drill ..: HOME DEPOT $40

Get [8] Nuts and Bolts Think about it??

Get your Hack Saw and some Muscles ^^Dido

Get your Grinder (optional)

1)Cut down the metal bars so that they dont go over the ends of the chair ,so u dont cut ur fingers on them or see them.

2)Grind the edges so if you do touch them u wont be pist.

3)Get Strong Drill Bits for cutting metal and line up the bars toward the rear of the chair so you can get your gangsta lean on and not fall over.

4)Mock up your Base and Drill 4 holes ( i eyeballed it ) i rarely measure

5)Put the Bolts up from the bottom, threads facing out, screw on nuts with a socket, hold the bolts from underneath if nessary.

6)Put your Base in the middle, Mark the wholes with a marker, Drill it out!

7) Screw them in same as others (mine had locktight on them)

8) Vacume all the metal off, pop ur base in.

9)If your bar hits the seat preventing it from going up and down put somthing between the bar and your seat and bend the bar down a lil bit...now it works
You see I Bent it

Nice. I've got my old premium package seats sitting in the basement. One of these days I'll fab them up to an old office chair base and come up with a 12V power supply to work the power functions and seat heater. Of course, I've been telling myself that for 10 months now...
