328i Emblem on Trunk - Glue?

Hey

I just picked up my '99 328i this week and the previous owner had the 328i emblem removed and put it neatly in the glove compartment.

Now is it hard to put this back on?

Should I take it to the dealership?

Is there a special glue or something?

Thanks

well its originally puto n wit double sided tape...you can either remove teh old double sided tape, and cut new pieces...but it would just be easier to order the new emblems...cant be much...just plastic small pieces wit tape

Agreed. I just have to deal with my wife now, she for some strange reason wants it on.

Which dealer in Ottawa did you purchase your vehicle from?

Did you see the 323ci cabrio at Otto's during the hot temps a couple weeks ago. It was Orient blue metallic I think. The colour and combo was close to what you bought.

Actually I picked my car up from a buddy at Import Auto. I was at Otto's last night and I won't be going back to that dealership ever again, they have HORRIBLE service there and didn't even do what they had checked off as being done. I will be making my way to Elite from now on.

Well, thanks for the heads up.

The salesman that I made my deal with at Otto's gave me a gift basket with a bottle of wine, crab pate, crackers, chocolate, etc.

Not bad markting. I Guess he wants a repeat buyer.

Then, he proceeded to tell me that BMW canada will be calling me with a survey with the next little while...and that I would be asked to rank the dealer on a list of criteria, scoring them from 0-10 on my car purchasing experience...10 being the best. He then brought out this little sign that said, "9 = FAIL" "10 = PASS".

The situation was quite funny...obviously a bribery tactic...some may see it as being that...but I think the presentation of a gift basket was an excellent and efficient way for them to do their marketing. And I probably will be a repeat buyer. As far as the servicing part of Otto's goes...well I haven't experience that part yet.

Yah they seem to do that for any European car, they did the same thing when I bought my 2001 Jetta 1.8T.

My friend who had a 330i and now has a 540i also had a few bad experiences with there servie there where as it took them 3 days to change his oil and they never phoned him. He is now a customer of Elite on St. Laurent .
