Help: Facelift tail lights for pre facelift cars.

Hey guys, I purchased a pair of facelift tailights for my prefacelift 2000 323i. The seller (BrakeMyWallet) was even nice enough to install them in my car. They look really clean. However, we didnt instal the reverse lights, because my bulb holder wouldnt fit the reverse part of the light. Has anyone ever had this problem? We were thinking of cutting a part of the bulb holder off, but I was wondering if anyone found any other solutions, and if thats the only solution can someone help me out. Thanks guys.

can someone please help us out with this! i just opted to not have my reverse lights installed.. is there any way we can customize the bulb holders to fit the inner lights?

hmm..is there a picture you can show of how it fits on the car? probably would help in determining what to how we would go about it

Actually I dont have a picture. BreakMyWallet, has the piece, since I couldnt give him mine. Maybe he can help us out with a picture.

A picture would help, although I think you will just need to get a facelift sedan bulb holder.

I could be wrong, but I kinda remember some vendor selling the facelifted taillights, and noted that if you wanted to add them to prefacelifted cars you needed some sort of adaptor? Also, the lights needed to be reprogrammed by the dealership?

yea that's what i'm thinking too. i have a set of the aftermarket facelift tails for the prefacelift and the trunk light that i put on, the bulb holder went in just like oem.

yea i want to sell it, i just got lazy to post up a thread about it. they are still sitting in a box unopened. well i opened one of the trunk lights to install it see how it looks.
