mitsubishi turbos???

I have found surfing the net that the turbos on the new 335 are that of a mits. anyone know what kind we are gonna be dealing with?

Only reason I posted here is b/c I am one of many who thought about turboing their e46 but now I might as well wait until I pick up a 335, and start thinking of some new ideas for it.

Garrett is mitsu, it one of the best turbos you can go with. Pretty different of BMW to go with garrett (thats if they did, I have no document to say if they did or didn't), Germans usually go with the KKK Turbos. I'm throwign this out but I would think they are using 2 K03's from KKK.....anyone know for sure?

Audi's come out of the factory using K03 turbos for their A4's and S4's but you can get aftermarket K04's to help the car go faster.

twin k04's are amazing. I contemplated for months whether or not I should get the b5 s4 and go k04. maybe as a project car down the road. Kinda like selling my car close to what I have in it. s4 would have been a BIG loss. If anyone ever says k04 swaps are stupid they obviously didn't do their research. 500+ hp and 1/4 traps of 126 <--insane.

That's great about the turbos glad to see that they are garrett. Opens up a whole new world for turbo replacement, at a much cheaper price than I would have figured BMW to do. KKK turbos are rediculously expensive.

I was the same way. I spent TONS of time on research on the B5 S4 before I got my 330. I was sure I was going to get the S4 and spend my money on mods for the car but then I got a killer deal on the BMW that I couldn't pass up.

I'm not sure what brand turbo's its using and don't know a terribly large amount about them - but in another thread MarvelPhx said it used MSI turbos:

mitsu turbos ayyyyy???? .....

well, if they are going to be using mitsu turbos..... that means my 437WHP eclipse GST (RIP ) may live again, in my new 335!!!

it also means that they should be easily swapable with a very famous, little-bodied, but huge bite turbos!!!! hmm... check out the Hahn Race Craft Super 16g's... imagine two of these in the bimmer boosting 18psi!!!! thats min. 500 horse!!!!! -now lets see how much this car can handle

-btw im just implying that if these small turbos could be replaced with the super16g it would be bad ass, dont start bashing me...thanx
