My Ride: 2001 325ci
Angry 1/4 mile times for e46

anyway i went to a dragstrip and ran a 15.6 on my 2001 325ci... and thats with a full tank of gas and the only mod that was a cold air intake... and that would have been fine, except that my friend ran a 14.7 on his shitty integra... so next week i took out the passager seat, rear seats and the spare and ran a 14.9 witch is not that bad, but my friend on the integra did the same and ran a 14.3 so my questin is if there are any quich cheap mods that can shave halve a second of my 1/4 time???

sorry if i somehow mess up this post, this is my first one ever!!! lol

Since its your first post class of '10 you'll soon learn that our cars are not straight line runners. Especially not 325s.

**disclaimer before the azzhole M3 driver responses - I owned a 325i for 5 years and loved it but yep not fast going straight.

Get a mustang if you want to go fast straight. Go take your car out in the twisties and lose your friends teggy behind and you'll feel better

Welcome to the forums .
i love my bimmer... thats why i had it for 5 years now... "oh, and loose those front corners...its not a honda." explain???

and my friend teggy is a gsr with hc pistons cams headers etc, i dont know the full mod list..

and i dont like a TT maybe if i had a vagina then i would have given it some consideration

i know its not made for the strait-line speed, but it would be nice, and i raced my friend to point rays national seashore up the coast hwy 1 and i had him i had to pull over and let him catch up to me LOL... and i really dont like mustangs...

and thanks

but here is what i was thinking,,, do headers and an exhaust dump valve x2 since its a twin exaust, do a 3.46 diff, fill it up with 100 octane fuel, fatter tires, and loose a bunch of weight, me and the car

u guys think it will be enough for a 14.3???

I've had a 325i and trust me its not worth it at all to do anything for speed. Get a nice sounding exhaust and call it a day or get something else if you wanna go fast. The e46 is a very nice car, but it's not a drag car.

Oh and GL getting a non M to keep up to a chipped TT w/out spending 4-6k on a S/C

ROFL! I like this guy.

I was saying to get rid of your 'altezza-ish' front corners, looks a bit rice-ish.

Honestly though, the e46 just isn't worth investing money into, the $$-to-hp is just stupid silly. $1500 into my supercharged Pontiac gave it over 300hp (total), $1500 on a BMW will get you intake, and a couple stickers.

Cheap, Quick and Power are not usually found in the same sentence as BMW together, it's more like expensive and minimal.

If you wanted a drag car you should've gone with a mustang or some other American POS, me I'd rather be in even a slow 323Ci than an integra any day.
