z1 finally installed
i finally got my whole system upgraded. nothing custom for the sub

How tough was it getting the Z1 in the dash in terms of wiring and cutting the vents? Did you end up leaving the floor vents closed all the way or partially open? I will be doing this shortly and am trying to plan. Thanks!

i didnt do it myself i had it done by a shop but i was there most of the time watching it. the vent is closed all the way.

500 for everything including bypass. i had to show im how to bypass it for the july 06 and up models.

The left bottom corner of the bezel seems to be sitting deeper than the right bottom.... Maybe it's just the pic... but if it's really so it'd drive me nuts.

not sure how they tapped into the wires but it took 2 days to do everything.

steering wheel control still works. if you're getting a z1 or any pioneer unit you have to get the "PAC SWI-PS" control

I really like this unit, but the blue lights turn me off. Does any manufacturer make a unit with lighting similar to the BMW?

i got it off this site
http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html i have the july built so i just told them to add a wire in one of the connector and grounded it along with the parking brake wire. i am able to do address/poi search and watch dvds while driving
