I think the IS-F is great value for money, $129k and it includes every single option, the only thing you can do is delete the 'moonroof'...For an e90/92 M3 you would be looking at about 170/180+k so there's quite a price difference...

I am hoping that they depreciate a lot so I can get one in a few years time...although I haven't seen that many around so that might prove difficult

Besides quote The Fast and the Furious, wouldn't you want more KW if you're racing your car in a straight line? LOL

Old joke is you know you have enough power when you can leave black lines up the tarmac from the exit of one corner into the braking point of another.

Ye i understand what ur saying about the price thing.. 170 for the m3, and 130 for the IS .. big difference there.. however C63 is around 140k .. so i think id take one of them, also RS4 is a worthy competitor aswell!!

ive read and seen alot of reviews on the IS-F, and it seems as though it soming up short in most reviews..

Actually on second thoughts, the Lexus LFA is what I would really want...that thing sounds awesome and 9000rpm too!

The C63 does look awesome and everyone seems to be buying them which is good for me/us!

The RS4 is nice but probably a bit dated now and who wants 4wd anyways

M3 isn't worth $170k though, or I sure wouldn't pay that for one. It was a bargain performance car at $140k for the E46 variant. $170k pushes it up into another buyers bracket much closer toward 911 territory.

this is you:
well if we use the term drift loosely, we can see that breaking traction midway through a corner and getting the tail out is classified as a drift.

so basically you are saying it wont drift, but it may drift.

just like the photo i posted which tells us that gays are gay.

hope those steps werent too hard for you to comprehend.

I'm not a fan of that shift gate either...I never understood why they started using those...

Anyways I parked next to my friends e92 M3 today, first time in a while...but honestly how can anyone like the e46 shape next to the e92!!!

Because it is purely personal opinion. It's people who fall for the e9x which made parts cheaper for the e46. Thankyou Vorsteiner!

Taxxed, my sentiments exactly! No doubt the E92 M3 is a better car but the premium you pay for that..hmm not sure exactly worth it ... there are better cars to buy for that money. I am talking about achievable cars to buy..hence hopefully the ISF will depreciate faster so that I can get into one soon rather than dream and talk about an E92...or get one 5+ years down the track. Talk is easy..getting into one (a super sedan) is another. You will find the C63 will hold their resale value better..so unless you have 140K to spend.. the ISF appears to be right there...oh..and the sound of that V8.. glorious! LFA ..fark..that V10 makes the right noises!

My old man bought a lexus IS250. He's owned it for about 2 months now and he already hates it. He said it's all floaty and soft, and certain things feel cheap, and he absolutely despises the clock most of all. It reminds him of his early 90s Camry. As much as he misses the BMW, it was falling apart, costing him too much and now he's an old codger, the prospect of 7 years warranty, $22k for the trade-in and $55k for a ex-demo cat was too good.

Instead of an ISF.. i would honestly go to my local FPV dealer and buy an F6 or sus out the HSV dealer and look at a GTS...

My Ride: E46 M3 Convert
E9X M3 is over priced

i cant see 200K in a new M3 convert, and im not alone - the same blue vert has been at Meneres approaching a year now

in comparison, the C63 has it all over the E9X M3 in spades, the engine alone has more character than the E9X M3 on a whole

there was no reason for BMW Aus to price the E9X M3 so high other than to create a price structure for the 1series range
