Commom problems with your E46

Can everyone post the problems that they have had with their E46 so that we can try to find a pattern of everything that we should expect to have to replace/fix on our 3 series? I am doing a study on the commom issues with the E46's. If you've had no problems (Lucky you!!!), just post "no problems" and how long you've had it.
Thanks,

Ok, I'll start:

-Passanger's side mirror's motor went out at 40k miles on a 2004 325i. Covered by Factory Warranty.
-Weird noise coming from front right wheel (haven't figured out what it is yet)

Smile oh the problems.....

The only problem I've noticed is my handsome car that runs great still sits in the same crappy traffic. And not enough girls have ridden in my car. HA!

Only confirmed problem so far: airbag light is on, might be wiring or something under the passenger seat in my coupe. Error reads out a problem with passenger seat belt tensioner and passenger occupancy sensor... probably a wiring issue.

unconfirmed problem: valve cover gasket

otherwise, problem free.

Drivers side door/window trim droop. Both sides replaced under warranty.
Sunshade clips broken. Got most of the broken peices out. Sunroof works perfectly. Will fix clips as a DIY when I'm up to it.

1st owner:
--> Outside Temp Sensor - common failure
--> Driver's door window regulator - common failure

Me (already replaced)
--> Left and right control arms -$250
--> Front control arm bushings -80
--> Sway bar links -$45
--> Battery -$90
--> Recently, water pump (which required coolant flush), belt tensioners and belts -$150

To be replaced:
--> Driver door brake (the mechanism that holds the door open so it doesn't shut on you) snapped. -$50
--> Exhaust hanger (one just below shifter) burned/rusted off -$15
--> Final Stage Resistor. My fan has it's own mind. -$60
--> Cabin filter -$20

And finally something that's not broken but should be replaced
--> 01 330(c)i suffer from overboosted steering. Steering rack will need to be replaced -$200 from junkyard

**Prices are in US$**

This would have cost ALOT if I took it to shop but all of the above is DIY and are common failures on E46. I think I should be good to go for a while now!

- two window regulators
- radio (no AM reception. Fixed under warranty)

The rest was maintenance work (belts, bushings, etc).

- A/C not working, most likely final stage resistor
- sun roof shade seems broken, sun roof only closes if I hold the button in. One touch will not close it.
- Odd squeaking noise(almost like a metal squealing) when i get in and out of the car. No idea what it could be.
- Tires keep going flat. Yeah, not a car problem, just pissing me off.
