I don't think it does, but I may be wrong. It seems to me that when the BOV goes off when you change gear that the turbo loses all the pressure to make it spin so instead of continuing to spin it will have to take time to spool back up. So if anything it might be a little bit slower, but I don't know for sure. Anyone know?

you are talking about a waste gate.. not a BOV.

if i remember correctly..

a BOV is a safty unit to prevent the black flow pressure from a sudden fuel cut off, say, when you are up shifting. it actually prevents the spooling from slowing down.

and a waste-gate prevents the turbo to over spool

i agree and i find it a tad bit hypocritical you're telling other people to chill when you basically have the exact same post four times in a row.. i'm surprised your fifth didn't include some sort of "rice", i think you're the one that needs to chill.

Bov FTW

I love the sounds of a BOV, and on a BMW, that is SICK!

To those that say rice, its not your car, chill out. Just b/c they don't have the same mods as EVERYONE else and are branching out a little, it doesn't classify as rice.

anyone check out the video of kerry getz's cayenne turbo on that page?
