Build a supercharger???

Is it worth it to assemble my own supercharger or to buy a kit already completed? If so, has anyone build his or her own before and what parts did you use? Or should use?

Probably better to buy a kit, the companies will get better deals than you, Technik and AA both have great prices on their kits right now.

The real trick is getting the drive belt for the supercharger setup and making a bracket to hold the blower itself in place.

Then you have to make all the piping, intercooler, injectors if you need them, etc. All before finally going and having the car tuned. You might save a bit of money but resale and even just having the insurance of tech support from the company are well worth it.

Just buy one and save yourself the endless headache...

The companies that offer the kits have put hundreds or R&D hours into their product...

Your one off homoligation is never going to be as safe and reliable plus you will always be on your own if something ****s up..
