both clarks. But yeah a lot of companies make desert boots. I got a knock off pair of Clarks from American Eagle for like $30. They were made poorly.

Yeah, J. Crew is definitely on a "heritage design" kick. Red Wing boots, Timex watches, Belstaff, Barbour, etc.
