yes. Search for pictures of General Ulysses Grant. Kind of an obscure guy.

But yes, there are lots of people, even today, that grow beards.

I was thinking more along the lines of the GI Joe timeframe, say WWII to present.

i don't think you're old enough to have owned a semi-auto assault rifle before the ban to be grandfathered in...
so ... i'm guessing it's either an illegal firearm or a toy
