You can open a bottle with a cork with a shoe.

With a shoe? I use this method to this day. Or push the cork into the bottle. Or go outside and break the neck on a curb.

In all seriousness, I found myself in the desperate situation of resorting to use a shoe about two months ago. I pounded on the bottle and nothing happened. Ended up just pushing it in.

Take a towel and hold it up against the wall
Take the bottle and hit the wall with the bottom of the bottle.
It will push the cork out slowly.

I've done this before and I didnt think it would work

I've tried it. Didn't work. I must be doing something wrong. Or immune to physics.

Let's not get overzealous here. I have a screw top bottle tonight. It may be inexpensive, but it's working

It's probably because you're afraid to break the bottle. You have to hit it pretty hard

I use my iPad as my exclusive note taking device. My capitalization is always top notch. In other news, I just crossed the threshold to being '****ed up.'
