Tail lights wont turn off....please help

My pre face lift E46 is showing my rear right light is not working properly. I noticed that when I switched the engine off this evening- that the rear tail lights - both upper and lower globes on both sides are dimly lit - not very much - just slightly. Has this happened to any one else?

They are defintitely lit - it is not a reflection. I am expecting a dead battery son.

Kind regards,

Rear Lamps!!!!

Same thing has happened to my BMW. The problem is the ground on the wiring for the lamps. See your service advisor for the repair. Real easy job...got mine done in 30 min at the dealership I work at.

Is there an easier DIY way? I know dealers can fix it.
