Angel Eyes Wiring Problem

I just bought E46 CCFL Angel Eyes off of Ebay and tried to install them today. Mounting, fitment, etc went fine, but the instructions were lacking as to how best wire them. They just said that all they need is to splice the positive wire into a +12V wire and then ground the negative. I did that and spliced into a thick red&blue power cable coming from the front corner of my headlight assemblies by the grilles and they look great.....only issue is that they stay on all the time.....EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS OFF, which is obviously not how I want them. I wouldn't mind them being on all the time when the car is running, but not when it is off. Could anyone who has installed those eyes in their e46 advise on the easiest way to connect the positive wire without it being this way.

P.S. I would rather not have to custom mount an on/off switch inside the cabin and would ideally like them to come on/on with my driving lights, but will settle for them coming on/off with the car at this point.

I'm sure the mods will get to this, but you might have better luck in the "lighting" forum...also, check the Jlevi's website for some install guidance.

My Ride: E92 soon? has the relay to tap into the ECU accessory wire for $35 on sale, or search "diy ccfl relay" and you'll find the DIY guide to make one.
