Anyone have Toyo's?

I am selling my M3 and wanted to wrap some new tires on them to help with the sale (they are pretty bad now). Anyone use Toyo? I have heard good things and they are so much cheaper than the others.

I love em...idk about alot cheaper than the others though.

I've always used Toyos.... right now I have proxes4 but i think I will upgrade when i get my next set of rims....

I just love how much grip they have in all conditions

I have the Proxes4 on the wagon with over 30,000 miles and plenty of tread left and quiet too. Very pleased with thier all around performance given my expectations for the wagon.

Although I don't think I'd put an M&S tire (like the Proxes4, or anyone else's for that matter) on an M3 unless you think you really want / need an all weather tread pattern, which of course may be a good option for NJ....................I have no idea how it works in the snow.

Well, for the rears,

Bridgstone $266
PS2's $328
Yoko $310

PROXES T1-R $209

It's not a ton of money, but to me, i was looking to get PS2's and at $120/ tire x 4... Plus, i think the treadlife on the ps2's suck.

According to tests Toyos suck. But I doubt John Smith knows about it.

For somebody that tracks his/her car I would understand having the best tires possible, otherwise is a complete waste of cash..
There is some people that spend the same amount of money on tires than their rims are worth..now that to me is funny..

The toyos handle perfect for the street and I've never had an issue...

my 2 cents..no bias here..

Which type of Toyo did they test? T1R or T1S? since it was 2005.

Sorry, but I'll disagree on this one - tires can make a huge difference in the handling and comfort of your ride. I've been through a lot of tires on the coupe, as I did track on my street tires for several years, and I can say the PS2s are fabulous and well worth the premium - quiet, nice ride charateristics, and they have over 15,000 miles with plenty of tread left. No track time on them, but when time comes to replace them, it will be PS2s again.

That's not to say the Proxes4s on the wagon are not a fine tire too and I have been very pleased with them as well, but I would not put an M&S on a more "perforamance" oriented car unless I lived in an area where there is a lot more variation in the weather than in the SE, while thats not to say one way or the other how they would handle snow.

Remember, there is only one place on your car that makes contact with the road.............................

well...at least that's the only place it's supposed to "contact" the road.....
