Installed Angel Eyes Today

Installed Orion V2's today on my 325i with stock halogen headlights. Some observations ...

* First, Fastm.com instructions are well done and a great help. Kudos! If viewing online, recommend the fastm.com web site, as the response time on the Umnitza.com site isn't noteworthy, and can be annoying when moving between text and pictures.

* Overall quality of parts, both LED angel eyes and wiring harness, is solid.

* On a 325i, the side lamps come out by pressing on a metal latch, not by a phillips head as on an M3.

* Current wire colors don't always follow the fastm pictures or instructions. Not a biggie, just don't hurt your head when the documented brown wire is now yellow or white.

* On a 325i, there is space next in between the high/low lamps to mount the 4 into 2 box for each headlamp pair.

* It was disappointing that the vendor parts do not include the connector to connect the trigger wire into the electrical system, which is in the directions on the vendor web site. The printed directions are also included with the Orion V2 package. Outside of the product cost, you'd think when the vendor charges 2.6 lbs of shipping for a 1.7lb package, that they could afford to include a 10 cent connector. I got a connector from Radio Shack, and enlarged the slot, so as to not cut too many wires with the connector, which worked fine.

* On the high beams, the black trim put pressure on the angel eyes mounting and pushed each off vertical. Use of a dremel tool to fit the trim over the angel eyes worked. No issue with the trim and low beams.

* I installed the standard Orion V2's, and they are bright, like the current Audi mustache's, which is great for daytime visibility. However, when I turn on the stock halogen headlamps, the uber-white LED angel eyes makes the stock headlamps look dull.

The new wires are different color.

We normally include the T-taps - two of them. If you were missing those, I'll be happy to throw a few into an envelope prior to your install.

Here are a couple ... When the angel eyes are on, you can see how it throws the camera off.

Is it just me or does the fitment look off?

Is everyone using T-taps? Is anyone splicing?

T-taps is the way to go, it's not the greatest way to go, but it's efficient.

Whoever says umnitza's crap has perfect fitment one more time, shall be banned.

Sorry, but I agree. My $50 Khoalty eyes have perfect fitment. There's no excuse why one that costs 4x the price should look like that.

I have Khoalty LED ones and they rock.

I can understand the light on the left but even the high beam is way off. Maybe upgrade to some projectors might help. My auroras from EAS are perfect fitment. oh and +1 on Khoalty they sell the lowest priced parts and great quality and fitment especially their lighting.

You might try to bring the AE's down a bit and then open the top to expand the ring. (use double sided tape) You can cement a bridge at the top if you achieve decent fitment. Otherwise, return or trash them and get the Khoalty 50 dollar AE's.

I just wanted to add that I JUST got my orion v2s today, and the wiring harness is broken on it so only one side of the angel lights gets power. In addition, it is impossible to get these things to fit perfect or even relatively ok......

Love my V4s. So now you guys are making V3s? BEtter not be better than my V4s I got recently. I'll hurt you.

Umnitza is the worst company to buy from. They know zero about their products

I just wanted to update everyone on my order on the Orion V2's. So I got them in on 2/21 and installed them 2/22. The fitment is horrible and I had to cut little segments out of the silver plastic piece that goes around the lights. Next the wiring harness I received was bad. I tried calling Umnitza through the two different telephones numbers on their website, but no one actually picks up on the telephone number. You just hear an automated guy saying, if you want to contact us then you should email us. Which is horrible service. Next I emailed them and got a fast reply, by wednesday 2-27 Umnitza replied saying that they would send me back a new wiring harness. I am only 40 minutes south of Umnitza so shipping is only 1 day, and it has been 2 weeks and I have yet to receive a new wiring harness. I have emailed them two more times now with no reply. HORRIBLE customer service and the product doesnt even fit properly

Update on my service with Umnitza, I finally got a phone number to contact them directly with (they sent it to me over email). Talked to a nice guy and he sent me my new wire harness that day. Got it the next day, everything has worked perfect since then. Overall expeirence, these lights are super bright, but bad fitment, overall pretty bad customer service. But if you want bright angel eyes the V2s are them. The remote feature is awesome as well
