My Ride: chirps when I turn
New |Hard Motorsport| Sedan M-style Flares Installed

Hey peoples.

About 2 weeks ago I found out Hard Motorsport made flares for the e46 sedans. I 've been waiting for something like this for 4 years now. Bought them instantly. Id say they came out pretty decent. I have fallen in love with my car all over again. The E46 body was designed to have wide tall arches like all m3s.
If it weren't my track car, Id probably spend the time molding them in, but I don't mind the rivet look. Its gnarly.
If I weren't so freaking excited and impatient I probably would have done rivnut inserts and button heads as well. But I couldn't wait.

Both the fender and quarters are cut. Basically the entire factory flares were cut out. We sliced the rear inner quarter panel and bent and hammered it to meet the outer panel. Then spot welded the whole quarter back together. I didn't feel comfortable having my rear quarters not connected in a Uni-body car. Everything got seam sealed and painted.

After I buzzed the inner lip of the plastic HM Fender Flares to basically material thickness, I'd say they give you a solid 25-30mm in back and front.

Sorry my photo pics suckkkk.

Ill get better pics up soon!

need better pics for sure, I saw something similar with orange wheels online. those orange wheel pics made the front fenders look much more wide than the rears.

Glad to see you took the time to do it right. Even though I don't like it, props for welding the rear panels and properly prepping and painting the cuts.

Love it! More pics! Can you mould them in easily for a seamless finish?

That was the donor car that Hard Motorsport built them off of

Thanks haha yeh that the rigidity was something I wasn't willing to skimp on.
My friend still ragging on my for using rivets instead of nutserts and bolts.

If you really wanted to. Wouldn't be easy.

Not bad at all, esp for a track car. I bet it would look really good with an M3 bumper (front and back)

This is pretty sick. Now you can run some wide and aggressive wheels.

I've been in talks with the company to get myself a set. How did you get the rear flares to line up with the stock bumper?
