My Ride: is a gas HOG...
Headlight bulb question...

I have seen those fake xenon super white bulbs on ebay and other places, and was wondering if its something i should do. I just have the regular halogens and don't feel light spending a lot of money, but for like $20 they say that you can look almost like xenon of HID. I also don't want it to look tacky. Anyone here have those fake bulbs and whats good and whats not? Any feedback would be appreciated!

lol they're not "fake". They are very real indeed They're xenon-matching halogens (in other words, higher Kelvin temperature halogens). It'll never be exactly like an HID xenon, but it can get close in color. You've got a couple options for your headlights. I think they're H7's? I have these xenon-matching halogen bulbs for my high beams and fogs. They're not too bad

i used to use stuff like that and i personally would not recommend it. if they are going to be used now and then its ok but since they are going into your low beams i would recommend going with HID's since the halogen xenon bulbs seem to have a tendancy to burn out. they also have a tendancy to melt your bulb socket if you use anything over 55 watts.

i would stay away from them... in order to get something that even resembles xenon you will have to get a very tinted bulb and after doing that, your light output will suck and make it hard to see on the road

just save up or ask for xenons for xmas... they are only like 600 bucks for p46s and the xenon kit

honestly guys, I don't think they're that bad at all...I mean, my output for the fogs is actually pretty good, and I love the matching color it's definitely a cost-effective solution for the thread starter. Just try to keep the same wattage or voltage or what not

My Ride: never the same...
i used to use these bulbs also, but after going through a couple sockets i decided to switch to xenon.. but for high beams it's okay as long as you follow the stock wattage.. you should be okay..

If you want just a simple xenon colored halogen replacement bulb, you can check out a set of our Xenixs.
