Can you take another close up picture of your soldered connections without the tape?

I won't be able to cause I cut them, then today when tried again I just crossed them & taped it up. What was you thinking might be the problem!? Thanks for your response

Looking at the pic you posted of the soldered wires sitting on your work table, it just looked like you stripped the wires far back. Especially the red one. I thought maybe the solder was creating a short. It is better to strip the cable's outer insulation back far enough so that you have plenty of Red, White, and Shielding cable to work with which allows the solder connections to be away from each other and taped well.

I'm not implying this was not the case, it just looked like they where very close in that picture.

Luckily for you, I am at work now. I will show you what I mean. One minute.

Example

I didn't have a cable with both left and right in the same cable. Here is the red one. Just as a reference though.

Yeah I see, but today when I tried I did not bother to solder them just tied them and then taped them. Do you think the wire style I'm using could be the problem? It's just I don't see how it could cause I have tried 2 different wires & types!!?

Sorry, just noticed your previous post.

To answer your question, without knowing anything else....NO, I don't think it is the wiring that you are working with.

It shouldn't matter. You have a red and white RCA cable with all 4 wires in one cable. I just happen to have them separate. On your cable, you will run the red wire to the + of one speaker (usually right speaker), and the white to the + of the other speaker (usually left speaker). However, which one you choose doesn't really matter technically. If you find that when you adjust your balance to the right and it goes left, then you can just swap them at the solder point, or at the connector.

Now, for the shielding or (-)part of the cable. On most vehicles, they are tied together. I think this is the case with the BMW...or at least it was with mine. So, I believe you have all your connections right. I would check the points where you plug them into the radio again.

Looking at the first post pictures and the pin out diagram, yes, you are correct. Just to clarify...looking at the back of the radio, you have 3 connectors. 1 big on on the top, 2 below it. It should be the one on the right.

While aux is connected, press music note button. it will show input level which will control input volume level.
Here is something else you might try. This is from earlier in the thread. Page 3 maybe.
