Lightbulb to all of those that are removing your seats.........

just a little tid bit, but it seems many of you are removing your seats in order to run wiring which is great, but, make sure you disconnect the batter before unplugging the harness from the seat. Why? Because the harness running to the seat contains wiring for the air bag system. there are sensors in the seats which monitor the weight of the person sitting in them & deploy the door air bags at different velocities depending upon the weight. if you unplug the harness with out disconnecting the battery your air bag light will be on & will need to be reset at the dealer. Just a simple little step that some people may over look. hope this helps....

You dont need to disconnect the battery. But dont turn on the ignition while having the seats out. If you do the airbaglight will come on. Then youll need to go to the dealer to get it turned off.
I know it because I did it.

well, I've heard from other people that have unplugged the harness and had the light lit up w/ OUT turning on the ignition. You could be right as well. Maybe it's just dumb luck, but still, you never, ever mess w/ anything to do w/ the airbag system w/ out the batt. disconnected, as even a simple spike from a small voltage +/- (such as unplugging a harness) has been known to trigger the airbag system. It's just pre-cautionary, & not worth the risk IMO.
