My Ride: Is sold!!
New member...questions about mods.

First guys all have awesome looking cars. A friend of mine turned me to this board, but I didn't want to join until my car was at least on order. The next few weeks are gonna be the longest of my life!! My question is: Intake and exhaust...any fav particular combo? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Another New Jersyan
Most people for intake run ECIS or Dinan(more expensive)
The popular exhaust seems to be UUC TSE...
Tit Silver 2000 328i. sp/pp/5spd.
oem clears, DIY silvervisions, hamann shadow grille, gen 2 DAE's, silver headlight trim, UUC RKIII..more to come.

Welcome to the board!

Personally, I have the Dinan CAI and UUC TSE and love the sound and performance. (I also have Dinan Stg II software).

ECIS is also a very good intake and isn't as expensive as the Dinan CAI.

As far as exhaust's going basically come down to cost and sound...b/c performance gains on the E46 from an exhaust are pretty even across the board. Supersprint is highly regarded as well.

I'd recommend getting some kind of software upgrade if you plan to get a CAI. Plenty of choices there as well...Dinan, Shark Injector, Authority...etc...

Spend some time reading older threads and you'll learn a lot regarding the different setups people have. Criteria like "sound" and "harshness" are very subjective so keep that in mind when asking about those kinds of things.

Best of luck to you and feel free to ask questions.
