Pretty new to this and hopefully you did not already answer this question. I have a 1999 323i and already have a set of staggerd m series wheels, and not able to buy and put on four fronts. For me to put these wheels on my car what size tires would you suggest I purchase. I was thinking about putting 235/40/18 upfront and 245/35/18 in the rear. Will this work, if not what sizes will? I am open to rolling my rear fenders if need be, but would love not to.

Thank you

I think you should do 225/40 in front and 235/35 in the rear. It kinda depends how low you want to go, and how ready you are to do what's necessary to the fenders... so there's no concrete answer to that. My advice is to roll your fenders to your liking first, then test fit the wheels with no tires if possible, and go to www.tirestretch.com and look at the size you think you might need. Because in the end it will all boil down to that

It also depends greatly on your car's camber and rear end play. I rub the lip of my wheel on the fender and it almost disappeared when I did my rear trailing arm bushings. So there are just a lot of variables to consider beyond wheel and tire sizes.

Appreciate the quick response. Do you know offhand the wheel diameter numbers for the rear m series staggerd set wheels?

It will work with m3 top hats I believe but you will have a rally car lol. It will give you a bit too much wheel gap.

I always found it ironic how everyone blasts people for trying to make an M3 out of a ZHP or 330i, yet this was stickied...

Simple parts like M3 hood and mirrors give a more aggressive look, nobody wants to see M3 badges on a non M

it's a bit different from lists of many ///M parts that retrofit and upgrade the car (as well as looks) from putting M3 badges on a 330i-zhp.

besides, many people have swapped and/or made non-Ms into M3 looking and performaing machines. there's curently atleast one sedan or wagon project going on in the forum at any given time.

I don't find it "ironic" that silly epithets and a woefully underwhelming command of grammar are so often paired together. Not that I want to tell anyone with a great jacking off quote in his sig what to do. lol
