Boss amps????

What do you guys think about Boss amps for pushing subs?? I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I need to add some good base to my car. I was thinking about getting a Boss amp, because it's cheap and comes with 1000 amps. Please let me know your opinion.........

It's no good, even if you put a crossover and filter out everything except lows?????? That way you are just running nothing but lows thru it.
The BOSS has a 0.01 THD rating so it should be decent enough. The power is awesome - 500watts x 2 (peak) or 210 watts x 2 (RMS). This seems ideal if you are running two 10" subs.

The BOSS also have a sick design - chicks dig it

Mr. Stream
Why are they crap???????? Is there a reason or just your preference?

We sell one series of Boss amps at the store where I work. Its not the series in the pic. So Im not familiar with that one.
The one we sell is no good if you want nice and controlled sound. Not for me anyways.

I know the watts are underrated, but still it pushes a lot of RMS for the money. Even if you get 170RMS per channel. I figured, for a sub, you really don't need nice and controled sound - all you need is BOOM, BOOM, BOOM.
