Did u use only one speaker connection for pos and neg... (right speaker)
to the LOC for both channels on the input side of the amp for right and left; do you not need to use the left speaker signal pos and neg aswell on the car then to the LOC?? or did you use a rca 1 male to 2 female Y splitter from the right speaker to the inputs on the amp for both....

As i would like to try this for a ed 9.4 amp as it only has rca inputs A B C D channels.... would a Y splitter work...

Your input greatly appreciated or anyone elses ....

Everything looks good. However I would recommend changing from the "T" connections that you are using. They are notoriously poor when used on BMWs. When I worked at two different shops I fixed 25 sets of "flickering/broken" Angel Eyes and HID systems because companies supplied those type of connectors with their installation kits.

Just my opinion

Did you tap the speaker wires before or after the factory amp? You are only going to get marginal performance if you tapped them after the factory amp. I am dealing with that right now

hmm.. which one is before and which is after? lol.. i tapped them literally right off of the speaker. i took the back speakers out to get some air in the cabin

i dont think i was suffering any performance because my 2 alpines absolutely pounded.. when they were both wired at 4 ohms.

i just wired em down to 2ohm and hooked them up bridged to the amp.. so hopefully it will be looooud 1000rms @ 4 ohms bridged

anyone else have any knowledge with this? any alternatives? i sold my pop out screen so i cant run the rca's straight to the brain

I would definitely cut/solder or butt connectors would still be better. Not the best but still better.

The "t"s are not terrible on most cars. But BMW uses thick insulation and sometimes you are just barely touching the wires inside and as you hit bumps or over time it just stops working.

Let me know if you need any other help!

For you this is true. For BreakMyWallet this is not true.

In the US there are two audio system:

Standard - 10 speaker with amplifier
Harmon Kardon - 12 speaker with HK amplifier and two 6x9 "subwoofers"

Both have a factory amplifier.

Anywhere outside the US there are three audio systems:

Standard - 6 speakers no amplifier
"HiFi" AKA US standard - 10 speaker with amplifier
Harmon Kardon - 12 speaker with HK amplifier and two 6x9 "subwoofers"

The Euro Standard is run off the factory head unit and does not have a factory amplifier. This setup is not available in the United States.

Post resurrection!!!!

For HK system..... where do you get 12 speakers? You must be talking about the e36. 10 total in e46 w/ HK.

For OP,
Hey bro, did you have any issues running speaker line-outs when you first set it up? I'm trying to run line-outs from the wires that fed the now history factory sub/sub amp (), ie the same wires that fed the signal to the sub and I'm not getting a signal for some reason. After seeing your post I think I'm gonna just run leads from the right rear as well.

How does it feel to know that you didn't get blindsided by the HK sucker punch upgrade??? Cos I wouldn't know.
