angel eyes problem please help
I bought the umnitza rings a few months ago and and installed them correctly. they where working fine till one day one side went out, i played with the wires a little and got it back working. about 2 months later yesterday, i noticed that side had went out again, i left it and later that night i noticed that the other side was barely on as well. the next day niether sides turned on and my interior lights would not open as well with remote activation or if i opened the doors, only by manually pressing the light buttons would they come on. I checked the connections and everything is in tact, i did notice though that the fuse for the rings was burnt out, so i changed it thinkin it would solve the problem. NO luck... what could be wrong? Should i check any fuses in my car fuse box? thnks guys, im freakin out

Sounds like you might have a bad relay.

The relay is the black box that mounted in the empty compartment of your engine bay. Sometimes those go bad and cause the system to malfunction.

Contact your seller (Umnitza). He might give you a replacement, free of charge (still under warranty, I hope). If not, Radioshack have them.

I don't know if he can help, but I just found some 5 prong relays on ebay for $.99. I just ordered 2 just in case. Now I gotta get a fuse to replace the two that I've blown already.

Yep, ther's only one fuse, but besides the first one that blew, I replaced it and blew another. I also had a 4 prong relay lying around, and now i atleast have my interior dimming function back but no angel eyes yet. I'll try to find the link again for ya.

damn it, i just replaced the relay with one i bought from autozone and still nothingg. I checked the fuses for the interior lighting and they seem fine. i also disconnected the wires from the resistors to see if that might work but my interior lights still wont go on via remote or open door. It works only a few times. could it be my resistors? one smells like its burnt.

I just replaced my relay ( thanks Jonathan) and still nothing. I checked all my wiering which should be fine as the rings were fine up until now. 2 years and no problems until now. I evne went as far as to switch out my balast to see if that was the problem, but still nothing. What could be the problem?

If you have changed out your relay, then it has to be your ECU tap. Open the plastic flap and clamp down as hard as you can on the metal portion.
