What shocks to get?

I have h&r race springs...should i get Bilstein's or Koni Adjustable's? I know i can't go wrong with bilstein's but my friend that knows his cars says get the Koni's...b/c they are ride adjustable..and he's installed them on many cars and everyone loves 'em..let me know what u think..thanks

Bilsteins are supposed to be more durable and last longer. I personally prefer gas shocks over oil shocks, but if you insist on having adjustability then you'll have to get the Koni's. Too bad Bilstein doesn't sell the adjustable shocks in the PSS9 alone.

BTW I had Bilsteins before and I love them! Very quick responding yet never harsh. I can see why Bilstein claims it's not necessary to adjust the damping manually.

I have the PSS9's and recommend either a non-adjustable Bilstein or a Koni Single adjustable. Can't go wrong with either although you have more options down the road with the Koni's. They can be rebuilt or custom valved more easily than the Bilsteins.
BTW, ALL shocks are oil filled.

I like my Bilstein shocks on my E36. They works great with the Hamann springs.

That's correct. I should have said that I prefer monotube shocks over twintube shocks. It's just that people often refer to monotube shocks as "gas shocks". Monotubes utilize both gas and oil, where twintubes can be either oil-only or gas & oil.
