Hi Dave,

I recently purchased BBS RS-GT wheels - 19x8.5 front (+35 offset), 19x9.5 rear (+40 offset) and I'm looking at Toyo T1-R tires in the following sizes...

Front - 235/35/19
Rear - 255/30/19

I read on your site that the Toyo T1-R has some form of "rim protector"... could you elaborate more on this feature? How does it protect the rim? Will the 255/30/19 tire size help to prevent the BBS RS-GT lip from sticking out past the tire (I know this would be the case if I was to go with 245/35/19 rear tires, but not sure about the 255/30/19)

Please PM me a quote for the above tire sizes shipped to Gaithersburg, MD 20879. Also do you offer any sort of tire protection plan?

Thanks,
Navin

The rim protection is basically some subber that sticks out so that if you slighlty rub a curb the rubber will make first contact instead of the rim. Pic attached.

The optimal rim width for the 245/35 is 8.5" compared to the 255/30 optimal rim width of 9". So, from looking at the data, the 255/30 will bulge more giving more rim protection than the 245/35.

We offer road hazard protection. For more info:

I will pm you a quote on those sizes.

UPS just dropped off the tires! The came bound together just like tires come from Tire Rack. Great company, I'd definitely do business again with them!
